Who frames the art?

I use a local framing company, R C Arts. They are a small business which does fantastic work.

How is the art created?

Every piece of art is hand painted by myself in my art studio at home. I utilise the best quality paint and canvas to put the art onto. Due to the textured finish, which gives the depth and life to the art, each piece takes a significant amount of time to complete.

Do you do custom artwork?

I have done custom artwork previously and I would be open to it if it is in the style of my work. Please send me an email with the picture you want painting and the size and any other additional information. I will come back to you with a quote. Accepting custom orders will be very dependant on how many orders I have at that time.

How do I care for my artwork?

Just keep it out of direct sunlight. If it is in direct sunlight all day it will fade over time. It’s the vivid colours which makes the art look good so avoid this!

Do I have to order the artwork framed?

Yes. Having had the art put onto canvas and into a variety of other frames I now only make the art available framed using a particular style. I want everyone who purchases a piece of my work to love it. Unfortunately when it is framed or stretched elsewhere, sometimes it isn’t a great job. Now every piece I sell, I know looks incredible and the owner will be very happy with their purchase.

Payment

What Payment Methods Are Accepted?

All payments will be made online via the Shopify website. You can make payments via ShopPay (Shopify), Paypal, ApplePay and all major debit and credit cards. Finance is offered via Klarna.

Returns

Is Buying On-Line Safe?

Absolutely. The Surfing Artist (me) only works with trusted financial payment platforms and shipping companies like DHL and DPD. All artwork is fully insured by me and this is included in the cost.

Do I have to pay anything to return my items?

Yes you have to cover the cost of postage and packaging.

How do I return an item?

Via the Post Office, DHL, DPD or any shipping company. Contact The Surfing Artist (me) to explain why and I will issue a refund minus my shipping costs. For the refund to be processed the art would need to be significantly different to what you have ordered or you feel the quality is significantly less than you would expect. To date no one has requested a refund. The artwork has to be returned in the condition it was sent. The refund will be processed once I receive the art. Alternatively, I can replace it with another piece.

Shipping

Do You Ship Internationally?

Currently I don't, but if you really, really want to buy one of my pieces of art email me and I will get you a custom quote.

How is the art work packaged for shipping?

All art is sent in packaging designed to protect artwork. The art will also have protection inside the packaging. All art is insured at my cost and should it not be delivered in perfect condition I will replace it for you at my cost.

How long will it take to receive my order?

Once the order is received I will start the process of creating the art. Dependant on the size of the piece, this isn’t a quick process. Typically it will take 2 – 3 weeks to finish the art and then it will need to be posted. So approx. 3 weeks.
